Luxor, Into the Heart of Ancient Egypt

Descending from Cairo, Luxor felt like an open-air museum. True to the saying that the east bank of the Nile is the city of the living and the west bank is the city of the dead, the river seemed to divide the realms of life and death.

Each tomb featured explanations and lighting that allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the mythology and worldview of ancient Egypt.
