Boao Golf & Country Club, located on Shapo Island in Boao Water Town, Qionghai City, was meticulously sculpted by Canadian designer Mr. Bill and meticulously supervised by Japanese supervisor Mr. Yuji. It is the first of its kind in China and the only all-island links-style course in Asia, earning it the title of "one of China's most distinctive courses." To maintain and respect the unique meaning of the links style, the course meticulously preserves the original natural topography and vegetation, fully utilizing the island's bays, sand traps, white reeds, and various shrubs and vines. The wild pineapple jungle, particularly, is not only a major scenic feature but also a challenging obstacle course.

The first nine holes of the course circle the island, surrounded by rivers and sea, with shimmering emerald waters on all sides, blending the seascape with distant mountains and nearby waters. The last nine holes weave through the island, showcasing sand pools, unusual rocks, coconut groves, reed marshes, and pastoral scenery. In midsummer, cool breezes and migratory birds accompany the course, creating a natural park that offers both golfing pleasure and a wild atmosphere. In winter, the blooming red and white reeds attract numerous migratory birds and golfers, allowing visitors to fully experience the beauty of wild nature.
