This time I came to Luzhou, a wine city 3.5 hours away from Chengdu, and found this famous Buddhist mountain near the city.
Fangshan stands on the bank of the Yangtze River, surrounded by clouds and mist all year round. It was honored as Hangao (Han Riverside Highland) in the Han Dynasty, and was nicknamed "Little Zhongnan Mountain" in the Tang Dynasty. Later, it was also known as "Ebantang, Little Emei" and so on.
There were many ancient Buddhist temples in Fangshan in history, including Lao Yunfeng Temple, Zhongfeng Temple, Yunfeng Temple, and Baofeng Temple.
It is worth mentioning that the black-faced Guanyin in Zhongyunfeng Temple is very effective, so you can pray when you pass by.
