Macau (Macau 澳門) is a small island which is a special administrative region on the southern coast of China. It covers an area of only 28 square kilometers. In the past, Macau was important as a trading city between Portugal and China. It was a Portuguese colony in the late 19th century. Therefore, it is not strange to see old European architecture remaining in Macau, such as churches and buildings, which have been well preserved to the point that many of them have been registered as world heritage sites.
Because it is not far from Hong Kong, tourists can travel to Macau on a day trip by boat or drive across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the longest bridge in the world with a total length of 55 kilometers.
If anyone comes during the time when they are organizing a fireworks display, watching the beautiful fireworks is very enjoyable. In addition, at the Wynn Macau Hotel, they also organize a light show alongside the fireworks.
One of the dessert shops that you must visit when you come to Macau is Lord Stow’s Bakery, which has been selling ‘egg tarts’ since 1989. They have opened a branch here for people with sweet tooths like us to try. If anyone walks past that area and smells the fragrant aroma, I recommend you buy one box of 6 pieces for $55. LOL
