The world’s first immersive BE@RBRICK art exhibition debuts at Galaxy Macau

"Art Macao 2023" is an international art event organized by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government by integrating local resources from all walks of life, gathering global creative forces and creating a city-wide biennial brand event. Among them, “BE@RBRICK MACAU - The World’s First Immersive BE@RBRICK Art Exhibition” is the largest BE@RBRICK MACAU themed exhibition in Macau’s history. It is hosted by GEG, co-organized by Shangri-La Group, curated by the famous trendy art brand BE@RBRICK MACAU, and jointly presented by MEDICOM TOY CEO and famous Japanese artist Tatsuhiko Akashi, Macau’s emerging artist MCZ_Thomas, and more than ten international and Macau local creative art units. More than 50 art collections will be exhibited during the entire exhibition period, aiming to provide visitors with a refreshing exhibition experience with innovative technology, interactive experience and immersive atmosphere.

As one of the highlights of the exhibition, "Galaxy Art Collection" will be transformed into an immersive viewing space for the audience to fully immerse themselves. As you enter the exhibition hall, the first thing that catches your eye is the BE@RBRICK MACAU fifth anniversary exhibition. Fans can once again review the highlight exhibits from previous years, which is a rare opportunity to feast their eyes. On the side is the world's first BE@RBRICK digital art exhibit, which uses digital technology to interpret selected BE@RBRICKs in a groundbreaking way, creating a real interactive exhibition experience. In the exhibition hall are the cleverly designed "BE@RBRICK Mirror Garden" and "BE@RBRICK Between Light and Shadow". The dazzling mirrors with multi-faceted refractions and all-round light and shadow projections attract the audience into a unique space that is both mysterious and magical, allowing them to enjoy an immersive experience surrounded by BE@RBRICK. Another highlight of "Galaxy Art Collection" is the special edition BE@RBRICK 1000% art collection created by Macau emerging artist MCZ_Thomas, which is displayed in the core position of the exhibition area. The collection is based on the design of "Galaxy Macau", combining the lotus veins symbolizing "Macau", the cosmic lightning symbolizing "Galaxy" and the stylish black gloves representing the craftsmanship of the artist. It interprets the artist's deep thinking and exploration of mankind, the universe and the future. Every weekend during the exhibition, "Galaxy Art Collection" will hold the "MCZ_Thomas Master Class - Graffiti Art Workshop" where the artist will personally guide the creation of spray painting on eco-friendly bags and have more interactions and exchanges with art lovers.

The BE@RBRICK art exhibition located in the lobby of the Pearl Tower is like a small secret garden in the center of the city. The naturally spread green plants and flowers and the sci-fi gradient lights bring a strong visual impact. A total of 12 sets of the BE@RBRICK MACAU 2023 new series shuttle through it, guiding the audience to find the "Wizard of Oz" in their hearts. There are also interactive sessions on site. Visitors can scan the QR code to reach the event page to receive and use theme filters based on the three BE@RBRICK MACAU 2023 new series collections. They can also take and print photos with BE@RBRICK elements as souvenirs of the exhibition. Other not-to-be-missed check-in spots include the outdoor lawn near the Diamond Lobby and the world’s first MY FIRST BE@RBRICK B@BY 10000 % inflatable art installation, which is over 7 meters high and stands in front of Galaxy Macau’s iconic golden buildings. With Macau’s clear summer weather, you can easily capture trendy art photos that will take off on social media platforms.
