City Suites, which has several locations in Taipei, is popular among Japanese travelers as a mid-range hotel.
This time, I stayed at City Suites Beimen, located about a 5-minute walk from MRT Beimen Station. I booked it more than six months in advance on Trip.com, so I was able to get it for just under ¥8,000 per night. 📝
The cheapest option is a windowless room, which is common in Taiwan, so I chose a room with a window. It was a corner room, and while the room itself was a bit cramped, I still had a view of the intersection. 👀
The basic amenities were provided, including a hairdryer, slippers, and even a kettle and water. ☝️
The air conditioning worked well, and the shower temperature was fine.
However, I could clearly hear voices in the hallway, and there was an elevator right in front of me, so the sound of it moving was a bit distracting.
If you're sensitive to noise, I recommend bringing earplugs.
The best thing about this hotel is its location! The retro Dihua Street, Yongle Market, and the gourmet-rich Ningxia Night Market are all within walking distance. Taipei Station, the airport MRT line connecting to Taoyuan Airport, is also easily accessible via an underground passage. 👍
The nearest MRT station, Beimen Station, offers direct access to Ximen, Longshan Temple, Zhongshan, and other areas, making it extremely convenient for sightseeing.◎
