Staying at my dream hotel in Penang with my parents
I brought my parents to Penang for the May Day holiday, and I wanted to arrange for them to stay in a Nanyang-style hotel in the old city to give them a feel for it. However, I heard that these hotels in the old city are basically converted from old houses, and the sound insulation is very poor. I was also worried about the infrastructure and sanitary conditions of the old houses, so I booked one night without much hope, just to experience it.
I originally wanted to stay at The Edison George Town, but the price soared too outrageously during the May Day holiday. After looking for a long time, I booked this hotel the day before departure.
The small gate doesn't seem very eye-catching, but I didn't expect the lobby to be so unique when I entered.
The whole hotel is very retro, and the rooms are also very nice. There were no hygiene issues like I had imagined. In terms of sound insulation, these hotels in the old city are all on the street, so they all have this problem, but overall it's okay and not too noisy. It's only noticeable when motorcycles speed past.
🥪The breakfast is also good, and you can order a set menu.
The only problem is the lighting, but it's not a big deal.
