Macau's ultimate late-night food spot

A hidden gem in Macau, this unassuming little shop often has a long line of people waiting outside. Curious, I asked around and found out their congee is famous! So, I joined the queue, and sure enough, it was absolutely delicious.

Water Crab Congee
The highlight! At the entrance, you can see the shop displaying a large number of crabs, including water crabs and roe crabs. We ordered a single-serving bowl to try it out, which came with one crab inside. The congee itself didn’t have a strong crab flavor, but the crab was quite fresh and sweet. If you prefer a stronger crab taste, opting for the roe crab might be a better choice.

Pig Liver Rice Noodles: The rice noodles are a must-try, especially for rice noodle enthusiasts! When ordering, make sure to ask for "all sauces" to get the full flavor experience. The texture is incredibly elastic and smoother than the usual rice noodles.

We also ordered stir-fried clams, scallion and ginger frog (bullfrog), salt and pepper corn, stir-fried water spinach, and more. The charm of this street food stall lies in its freshly cooked dishes. The intense wok aroma from the freshly prepared food is unbeatable.

It’s rare to see elderly folks dining out in the early hours elsewhere, but here at Yat Gor, the appeal truly spans all ages.
