🇲🇴 Macau Old Town 2-Hour Course

📍 Senado Square → St. Dominic's Cathedral → Seiki Cafe → Beef Jerky Street → St. Paul's Cathedral → Fort Monte → Souvenir Shopping

🏨 On the last day of my 4-night, 5-day trip to Cotai, I checked out and took a quick, quick tour of Macau's Old Town.
Macau is a small country, so if you're just looking for Old Town, two hours is enough!

--

1️⃣ Senado Square

🚖 Approximately 100-120 MOP by taxi from the Marriott Hotel
🖤 A photogenic spot with zebra-patterned floors and European-style buildings
🇵🇹 The Portuguese colonial atmosphere remains intact.
A little further down the alley, local residential buildings and old signs evoke a Hong Kong cinematic vibe.

--

2️⃣ St. Dominic's Cathedral

💛 A UNESCO World Heritage Site with an impressive yellow facade
It's photogenic, but not as grand as you might expect.

---

3️⃣ SEI KEE CAFE

🥤 Iced Milk Tea 20 MOP (approximately 3,400 KRW)
📦 It's served in a plastic bottle, making it convenient to drink on the go.
Recommended as a snack before heading to Beef Jerky Street!

--

4️⃣ Beef Jerky Street

🥩 A huge selection of beef jerky!
📍 From the Bichenhyang area to the local shops, it's lined up.
Free samples are available, but if you're feeling overwhelmed by the numerous offers, walk to the edge.

--

5️⃣ St. Paul's Cathedral

⛪ A landmark in Macau! Only the facade remains of this 16th-century building.
💡 It's actually more charming, and the architectural style, unlike other Chinese buildings, is charming.

---

6️⃣ Monte Fortress

📸 A photo spot at the beginning of the walk up next to St. Paul's Cathedral.
🚡 If you're feeling tired, head towards the Macau Museum and take the escalator.
🏙️ The view of the residential complex from the top is like a scene from a movie.

--

7️⃣ Souvenir Shopping (Koikei)

🛍️ Person holding a yellow plastic bag = Snacks
🥜 Almond cookies and egg rolls are highly recommended! (However, they're a bit pricey.)
🍺 Kui Kui is also popular as a beer snack, but be careful because it's around 30,000 won.

--

💡 Tip

The Old City is best visited in the morning, when it's quieter.

In the afternoon or evening, return to Cotai and enjoy the night view.

Seiki milk tea is a must on hot days!
