Tokyo Machida: A Paradise of a Beautiful Pond and Plants

A Beautiful Pond and Plant Paradise
This park, centered around Yakushi Pond, offers a variety of plants to delight your eyes. In April and May, you can enjoy the wisteria trellis, and in autumn, the vibrant red foliage is a sight to behold.

Food Experience
There are shops and tea houses where you can enjoy traditional Japanese sweets like matcha and dango. The matcha is served with a local Machida specialty called "Hasu no Mi Monaka."

Access
It’s about a 15-minute bus ride from Odakyu or JR Machida Station. While there are frequent buses, the bus stop is a bit far from the station. You can also access it by bus from Odakyu Tsurukawa Station, but buses run only about once an hour, so plan accordingly. It’s also very close to Machida Squirrel Garden, making it a great spot to visit on your way back.

Recommended Points
The best part is that it’s free to enter. Additionally, due to its somewhat inconvenient location, it’s not crowded despite its size, making it a comfortable place to visit.
