Let's go! To Spain to eat tapas and see Gaudi 🏰 I only realized after arriving that you really don't need a detailed itinerary for Spain; just walking around, you'll find beautiful scenery everywhere. But to help my sisters avoid detours, I've still put together this super practical 6-day itinerary~
✨Day 1: Vibrant Madrid
📍Royal Palace of Madrid (Calle de Bailén, 28071 Madrid) Europe's third-largest royal palace; remember to buy tickets in advance to avoid queues
📍Puerta del Sol (Puerta del Sol) Be sure to take a photo with the Bear and the Strawberry Tree statue
📍Retiro Park (Parque del Buen Retiro) Boating is super romantic
🍴Recommended Restaurant: Casa Lucio (Calle Cava Baja, 35) Their runny-yolk eggs are amazing
✨Day 2: Art Walk
📍Prado Museum (Calle de Ruiz de Alarcón, 23) Goya's works are a must-see
📍Reina Sofía Museum (Calle de Santa Isabel, 52) The original 'Guernica' is here
📍Mercado de San Miguel (Plaza de San Miguel) A foodie's paradise
✨Day 3: Gaudi's Masterpieces
🚄High-speed train to Barcelona (approx. 2.5 hours)
📍Sagrada Familia (Carrer de Mallorca, 401) Expected to be completed in 2026
📍Casa Milà (Provença, 261-265) Alien-like rooftop
🍴Recommended Restaurant: Taller de Tapas (Carrer de Jaume I, 3) Amazing tapas
✨Day 4: Barcelona's Golden Coast
📍Casa Batlló (Pg. de Gràcia, 43) The colorful tiles are breathtaking
📍La Boqueria Market (La Rambla, 91) Super cheap juices
📍Sunbathe at Barcelona Beach
✨Day 5: Seville Charm
🚄Direct high-speed train (approx. 5.5 hours)
📍Seville Cathedral (Av. de la Constitución) Columbus rests here
📍Plaza de España (Plaza de España) A movie filming location
🍴Recommended Restaurant: El Rinconcillo (Calle Gerona, 40) The oldest restaurant in the area
✨Day 6: Pleasant Return Journey
📍Metropol Parasol (Pl. de la Encarnación) Modern art landmark
✈️Perfect conclusion
💡Small tips:
- A 10-ride metro ticket is more cost-effective than single tickets
- Restaurants are generally open from 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM / 8:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Book Sagrada Familia tickets 3 months in advance
- Carry small change for restrooms
