Wat Tha Ton, a Beautiful Temple in Chiang Mai

Wat Tha Ton, located in Ban Tha Ton, Tha Ton Subdistrict, is a temple with beautiful scenery nestled on a hillside lined with religious artifacts and buildings.

The area stretches along the hillside, spreading over nine levels, visible from afar. Each level houses important religious artifacts and sites, including the Chedi Phra That, Kuan Im, the Buddha Nirandon, the Buddha in the Naga Parak posture, the Buddha Sangkachai carrying gold, the Phra Borommathat Ratchamangkalacharn Samanchan, and the Phra Buddha Im Talot Kan.

The 8th level, not to be missed, houses the Phra Borommathat Ratchamangkalacharn Samanchan, or the Glass Chedi. This uniquely beautiful mountaintop enshrines Buddha images of various styles and sacred relics, worthy of veneration.

Furthermore, on the 9th level, is the Phra Buddha Im Talot Kan, an alms-carrying Buddha image for Wednesday, the birthdate of Somdej Phra Maha Ratchamangkalacharn (Wat Pak Nam). Standing majestically atop the final hilltop of Wat Tha Ton, it boasts a uniquely beautiful Buddha image.
