When talking about Mae Kampong, many people probably know that this is a village in the middle of a valley. But did you know that there is another village that is very similar to Mae Kampong but is just as peaceful, simple, and beautiful? That is Ban Pa Miang, Lampang Province.
Because we wanted a quiet place to stay but still got to visit Mae Kampong at the same time, we ended up having a Chiang Mai-Lampang trip.
Day 1• We stopped for coffee at Taryn Tara, a minimalist cafe with a waterfall view before reaching Mae Kampong Village.• We parked our car at Mae Kampong Village while waiting for the hotel's car to pick us up to Ban Pa Miang. We walked around looking for food in Mae Kampong Village.• Then we sat down to escape the heat and had some snacks at Lung Pud and Pa Peng's shop.• On the way to Ban Pa Miang, the driver took us to visit Mae Kampong Waterfall and Kiew Fin, the intersection between Chiang Mai and Lampang.• Tonight, we stayed at "Khon Bon Doi Homestay", a peaceful place that was just what we wanted. The owner of the house was lovely and kind.• When the sun went down and the wind died down, we walked around the village. Some with no more than 10 tourists, it's the peaceful Mae Kampong version that we've been dreaming of. Day 2• After checking out, we drove to Ban Mae Lai, which is no more than 15 minutes from Mae Kampong.• We stopped by a cute cafe called "Kampo", which has both drinks and soft ice cream.• Next, we'll find the "Atlantis Valley" cafe, which gives us a feeling like we've been transported to a forest in America. The atmosphere is great.• It took about an hour and a half from my mother-in-law's house to reach Chiang Mai city, and then it was time to say goodbye to Chiang Mai. We'll be back soon.#MaeKampongChiangMai #BanPaMiang #BanMaeLai #MaeLaiCafe #ChiangMaiTravel #TravelPlanGiveaway
