A day at the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, feeling a bit heartbroken

Never expected the most beautiful scenery to be outside the scenic area! For friends without strong attachments, it’s recommended to plan your self-driving route reasonably. If you don’t plan to stay overnight in the scenic area, consider other attractions～

🚗 Driving from Bayi Town, you pass by the Niyang River and Fozhang Sand Dunes along the way, truly breathtaking beyond words! Both spots have roadside viewing platforms, and viewing from a distance is enough for great photos📸

The Niyang River is a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River, said to be the tears of the sacred mountain～In autumn, the river water is jade-clear, with lush vegetation on both banks, perfectly embodying the “Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall” without needing any filters🖼️

Fozhang Sand Dunes are formed by strong winds piling up sand into hills, with reflections resembling Buddha’s palms pressed together, super magical! When we visited, the sun was shining brightly, and on the return trip at sunset, we saw its serene and brilliant sides—truly stunning✨

Inside the Grand Canyon scenic area, there are four bus stops: Daduka Ruins, Millennium Ancient Mulberry, Namjagbarwa Peak Viewing Platform, and Waterside Terrace. Tickets cost 150 RMB + shuttle bus 90 RMB, but the scenery is really quite ordinary, feeling sorry for the money💸

The best view surprisingly is the road to the airport! When shrouded in thick fog, it feels like traveling through a fairyland, so captivating～
