JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa - A Closer Look

Although we visited during the rainy season, the day we arrived was sunny ☀️. I still remember the crystal-clear emerald waters we saw as soon as we stepped out of the airport.

During our stay at JW Marriott Maldives, the only signs of the rainy season were the strong winds and the relatively rough waves on the beach. There was just one brief downpour, which occurred the night before we left.

I recall watching a seaplane land at the resort from the wooden deck over the water and enjoying a meal under the moonlight.

🌳 Address:
Van'gaaru Island, Atoll 40880

🌻 Rates:
Starting from around 1 million KRW per night
* Seaplane transfer fee: $630 per person (approximately 880,000 KRW)

⚘ Tip:
Rather than worrying about the rainy season, be more concerned about typhoons! Since each island in the Maldives is a resort, bad weather can leave you stranded on the island or prevent you from arriving. Additionally, due to the proximity of the beach and accommodations, resorts are more vulnerable to typhoon damage. Make sure to have flexible plans for the day after your return, as well as alternatives like cash or credit cards prepared in advance.
