Mandalay Palace

Mandalay Palace, built by King Mindon for 28 years, is a palace decorated with precious gems, such as gold, diamonds, and gems. Before the Burmese dynasty collapsed during the reign of King Thibaw, when it became a British colony, many treasures, including the symbol of the dynasty, the peacock throne, were moved to England. In addition, during World War II, the original palace was completely destroyed by fire from bombing. The Burmese government has renovated it to be a beautiful and complete Mandalay tourist attraction as seen today, while still maintaining the original architectural style and patterns. #Waiting for the day to travel
