It's that time of year again: ski season. If you want to ski in Sichuan, you can head to Western Sichuan, where there are several ski resorts. This time, we went to the Maoxian Jiuding Mountain Taiziling Ski Resort.
We chose Taiziling Ski Resort because we wanted to stay at the Yinqitang Hotel again.
Back in October, when we were admiring the autumn leaves, we left Songpinggou and booked the Yinqitang Hotel on Trip.com. We didn't expect to be so pleasantly surprised by this hotel in Maoxian.
The hotel is located in Baishi Qiang Village, not far from Maoxian. The four-story building has a small courtyard full of flowers and plants. The quiet and tidy environment is very appealing.
We stayed in a standard room on the second floor. The room was stocked with fruit and a handwritten card from the general manager, which made us feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Although it was cold outside, the room was very warm. The mattress was a King Koil, just like the one I have at home, and it was very comfortable to lie on. Traveling in Western Sichuan requires a bit of stamina, so I think it's important to choose a good hotel.
The fourth floor of the hotel is a dining room and a coffee shop, which is very tastefully decorated. The ethnic features give it a unique style.
While waiting for dinner, we sat in the coffee shop and chatted. The owner is a Qiang girl. She wore traditional clothing and made coffee, and her latte art was pretty good. ☕
Standing on the balcony outside the coffee shop, you can see Jiuding Mountain in the distance and the tall buildings of Maoxian City looming in the mist. It's beautiful.
After dinner, the girls went back to their rooms, and the boys played cards for a while.
The water was hot, so I took a nice bath before going to bed. My roommate was already asleep.
I had a good night's sleep.
This hotel in Maoxian is perfect for a few days' stay. You can relax, take a leisurely stroll around Baishi Qiang Village, and visit the county town.
I think this place is a summer paradise.
