Visiting Dar El Bacha early in the morning is a gift. The palace is quiet, the air cool, and the sunlight soft. As you walk through the courtyards, the shadows create delicate patterns on the tiles. You can hear your footsteps echo, a reminder of how peaceful this place is compared to the streets outside. The museum’s focus on “confluences” — the meeting of cultures — makes perfect sense when you’re here. You can feel it in the design itself, where Andalusian arches meet Moroccan tilework. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t rush you. You just wander, breathe, and take in the details.
