Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms at Matsudayama Herb Garden 🌸

Matsudayama Herb Garden (Nishihirahata Park) is a wonderful spot where you can see early-blooming Kawazu cherry blossoms and Mt. Fuji! Here are some recommended places and times for taking photos that I found when I visited previously 🥰

▶︎▶︎Recommended places
Here are 5 photo spots where you can see the collaboration of Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms ☺︎
① Immediately after climbing the first stairs from the entrance
② Kawazu cherry blossoms next to the stairs of the Children's Hall (where the bus turns)
③ Next to the toilet next to the parking lot
④ A balcony-like place at the Children's Hall
⑤ At the back of the mandarin orange direct sales store

▶︎▶︎Recommended times
Mt. Fuji is backlit in the afternoon, so it is recommended to go in the morning. The official website states that the cherry blossom festival hours are "9:00 am to 4:00 pm." However, when I visited, I was able to enter even though I arrived around 8:00, perhaps by chance. (Thank you for coming early in the morning 🙇♂️) There were not many people immediately after entering, so I was able to take photos at my own pace. The number of people increased from around 8:30, and by 10:30, there was a long line to enter.

▶︎▶︎Best time to see
This year, it was in full bloom on February 18th. The Cherry Blossom Festival will run until March 3rd.

▶︎▶︎Hina dolls
It was just in time for Hina dolls, so there were beautiful Hina dolls on display.
