Nawate-dori Shopping Street
A 10-minute walk from Matsumoto Station and a 5-minute walk from Matsumoto Castle, this shopping street is lined with rows of shops. The street started from the bank of the Metoba River, and it is said that it got its name from the long, rope-like bank. The symbol of Nawate-dori is the frog! So there are many stone statues of frogs.
