On the way to Kappa Bridge (Kamikochi) 🩵

Review on the way to Kappa Bridge – The path where nature tells the story 🍃👣🌲

In Kamikōchi, the destination, Kappa Bridge (Kappa-bashi), is beautiful.
But believe me… the walk there is the most meaningful moment.

🚶♀️ The distance from the bus stop (Taisho-ike / Bus Terminal) to Kappa Bridge takes about 30–40 minutes to walk — each step is a slow departure from the noise of the outside world and letting nature take us back to ourselves.

🌳 The path is full of tall trees, sunlight through the leaves creates a pattern that changes with each step. The sound of shoes touching the ground, birds chirping, the slow stream flowing parallel to the path… all of them come together to create the softest but most beautiful song on this trip.

There are places to stop and rest at intervals. No need to rush, walk slowly, take a deep breath, and inhale the fresh scent of the pine forest and wet soil that makes you feel “lighter” in an indescribable way.

💧 In some parts of the walkway, you can see the clear blue Azusa River flowing along the side, contrasting with the backdrop of snowy mountains. The closer you get to the bridge, the sound of the water becomes clearer and clearer, as if you are about to enter another world that is peaceful and pure, to the point that your heart has to be quiet.

🌤️ The air is also another fascinating thing — whether you come in the morning or afternoon, the temperature is just right, with a gentle breeze blowing across your cheeks, and the scent of leaves and streams that are unlike any other.

✨ This path is not just “along the way”, but “the moment when your heart returns to itself.”
There is nothing to do, no one to follow.
Just us… and nature that silently welcomes you every step of the way.
