The beautiful Japanese garden at Entsuin Temple in Matsushima, Miyagi

This is the mausoleum (Sankeiden) of Date Mitsumune, the eldest grandson of Date Masamune. It is also famous for its beautiful Japanese gardens. There are four gardens, and when I visited, roses were in bloom.

Access: About 7 minutes on foot from JR Matsushima-kaigan Station on the Senseki Line

Visiting hours: 9:00-15:30

Admission fee: 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for elementary and junior high school students

You can also make your own original rosary.

Experience fee: From 1,000 yen (varies depending on the material of the rosary)

Duration: About 20 minutes

[December-March] 9:00 am-3:00 pm

It is also lit up during the autumn leaves. You can enjoy nature all year round. Recommended for those who are interested in Japanese gardens 😊
