While searching for parking to explore the Dogo Onsen area, I spotted a free sign and headed in that direction...

I came across a shrine with an impressive staircase and decided to check it out...
135 steps in all.

When I reached the top and looked back,
the view of Dogo Onsen unfolded before my eyes.

Isanami Shrine's main shrine is one of only three in Japan built in the Hachiman style.

Walk around the shrine and admire the sculptures.

It's also popular as a power spot for matchmaking and academic success.
