One-Day Cherry Blossom Viewing Trip to Yinna Mountain

Itinerary for a one-day trip to Yinna Mountain for cherry blossom viewing:
Saturday, February 22
9:00 Depart from Shantou and navigate to "Yinna Mountain Sakura Garden."
11:00 Arrive at the Daping Village Committee in Meixian District (Note: This is about 4.8 km away from Yinna Mountain Sakura Garden, and parking is free). Hike up the mountain.
12:37 Arrive at the Yinna Mountain Sakura Garden ticket office to purchase tickets and take the bus (purchase tickets first, then queue; queuing time is about 1 hour).
15:40 Queue to take the bus down the mountain (no ticket check required, queuing time is 30+ minutes; more buses were added for the descent as the garden was closing). Return after descending.
Round-trip bus ticket: 40 yuan/person.
The bus ride up the mountain is very short. You queue for an hour to take a 3-minute ride. However, the mountain road is quite steep, and it would be dangerous if cars and pedestrians were mixed, so you can only go up by bus.
When we drove to the Daping Village Committee, we saw a traffic jam ahead, so we parked the car there and walked up. But after a short section of the traffic jam, a long section was not congested (because the uphill traffic flow was controlled). It is recommended to drive past this section and find a parking spot near the next congested area to avoid a two- or three-kilometer detour.
It was around 4:30 pm when we descended the mountain. The traffic was not heavy. We took a motorcycle taxi down to our car (Note: You can bargain. In the end, it was 25 yuan for two people from the entrance of Lingguang Temple to the Daping Village Committee. Don't take those that charge 20 yuan per person; they are too expensive).
There were many people on the weekend, all taking advantage of the end of the cherry blossom season to see the flowers. If possible, it is recommended to visit on a working day to avoid the crowds. Although there were many people, the area planted with cherry blossoms on the mountain is very large, and you can always find a place with fewer people to take photos. At the sign for the best cherry blossom viewing spot, keep climbing up (there are steps in the tea field). Climb to the wide cement road and walk along the downhill direction. You can reach a sloping curve with cherry blossom trees, which is a great spot for taking photos.
It was cloudy on the day I went. It would be even more beautiful on a sunny day.
I hope everyone can see the beautiful sea of cherry blossoms.
