Striking Blue & Timeless Vibes: My Visit to Encore Melaka

While in Malacca, I made a little detour to check out Encore Melaka — and let’s be real, I mainly went for the aesthetic.
Tucked away near the Melaka Waterfront, Encore isn’t your typical heritage site. This place is futuristic, minimal, and dramatic, with bold architecture that makes it feel like it landed straight out of a movie set. The huge, angular white building with its iconic blue-toned reflective panels stands out against the skyline — you honestly can’t miss it.
I didn’t go for the show this time — just came to explore the space and snap some photos. And wow, it's a photographer’s dream. The contrast of the white facade, the symmetry, the light bouncing off the panels... chef's kiss. Every corner feels like a frame-worthy shot waiting to happen.
What I love about Encore is how it brings something completely modern into a city known for its historical charm — and somehow, it still fits. The space is calm, clean, and surprisingly peaceful, especially in the late afternoon when the light softens.
If you're in Malacca and looking for somewhere a bit different — a break from Jonker Street’s chaos — Encore Melaka is worth the stop, especially if your camera (or Instagram) is hungry.
