Onokorojima Shrine

When I went on a trip to Awaji Island, I visited Onokorojima Shrine.
Onokorojima Shrine is a shrine that appears in the "Creation of the Land Myth,"
where the two gods Izanagi and Izanami from the creation myth are enshrined.
They are well-known as the gods of safe childbirth, matchmaking, and health and longevity.
When I arrived, I was surprised by the large torii gate that is 21.7 meters high. It is impressive even from a distance, but it is even larger when you get closer. This large torii gate is also one of the three largest torii gates in Japan.
Parking is free and there are not many visitors, so it is a recommended place.
Next to the parking lot, there is an unmanned store selling local vegetables.
The autumn leaves were very beautiful and wonderful.
