I finally got to see the That Wanaka Tree, the symbol of Lake Wanaka and New Zealand's most photogenic spot! September is early spring in the Southern Hemisphere, so the surroundings weren't yet lush, but the tree, rooted in the lake, seemed even more solitary and special. The reflection of the tree on the still waters resembled a work of art.
