Located in the Aoshima area of ​​Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, Miyako Botanic Garden Aoshima is a free botanical garden where you can enjoy a tropical atmosphere. It is close to Aoshima Shrine and Aoshima Beach, making it the perfect spot to stop by between sightseeing.

The garden is filled with palm trees such as Chinese fan palms and phoenix palms, as well as colorful flowers such as bougainvillea and hibiscus, creating a tropical landscape. In particular, the large greenhouse cultivates tropical fruit trees such as mangoes, papayas, and bananas, creating a tropical atmosphere. Another highlight is the Merlion statue, which was installed to commemorate the sister city partnership with the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

The garden also has a Parabolacho Cafe, where you can enjoy smoothies and light meals made with locally grown tropical fruits. You can spend a relaxing time surrounded by tropical plants.

It is about a 10-minute walk from Aoshima Station on the JR Nichinan Line. There is also a free parking lot, so it is convenient to visit by car.
