My Trip to Amanohashidate: A "Chill" Seaside Gem! 🌊

#holidayitinerary
I just got back from Amanohashidate, and I can't stop thinking about Kyoto's beautiful sea. I was so lucky to have a perfectly sunny day, and every moment felt like a painting. I'm already planning to go back for the autumn foliage next year!

My Day in Amanohashidate

The journey from Osaka took about 2.5 hours, and it was absolutely worth it. My adventure started with a scenic chairlift ride up the mountain, and the view of the jewel-blue ocean behind me was stunning. At the top, there's a small amusement park, and the Sky Bicycle was my favorite part. Pedaling high in the air, I felt like I was roaming freely under the blue sky and white clouds. I also tried the local pudding, which was so good, and the bottle it came in was a perfect souvenir. On my way, I was even interviewed by a Japanese TV crew, which was a fun surprise!

Exploring the Town Below

After coming back down, I took a five-minute walk to Chionji Temple. The area around the temple is full of souvenir shops and places to eat. After a good meal, you can get a fortune slip at the temple. From there, you can either take a sightseeing boat along the water or find a local onsen to relax in. It's the perfect place to just unwind and take it all in.

I highly recommend Amanohashidate if you're looking for a relaxing, beautiful seaside escape in Japan. It's a truly special place.
