Miyi - A County Full of Surprises

Miyi County is under the jurisdiction of Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the southwest corner of Sichuan Province and the northeast of Panzhihua City.

History and Culture

- Hometown of Zhuanxu: Miyi County is recognized as the hometown of Zhuanxu culture in China. Neolithic ancient village sites that are roughly consistent with the birth time of Zhuanxu have been discovered in the county.
- Ethnic Culture: This is the holy land of the Lisu people in China. The ethnic culture of Xinshan Lisu Township is splendid, and five items such as the "Yue De Festival" have been rated as provincial intangible cultural heritage.

Specialties

- Miyi Loquat: Large fruit, thin skin, juicy, and rich in flavor. It matures and is available on the market around New Year's Day and Spring Festival, and is one of the earliest loquat producing areas in China.
- Miyi Cherry: Bright color, red like agate, large and sweet, available on the market in early April every year.
- Miyi Brown Sugar: Made from pure sugarcane and traditional craftsmanship, with a ruddy color and pure taste.
- Sandworm: Produced on the banks of the Anning River, commonly known as "Anning Ginseng", it is often fried or steamed, with a delicious taste.
