The Thrill and Spectacular View at Iya Vine Bridge

When I visited the Iya Vine Bridge, I was overwhelmed by its unique structure and the way it blended seamlessly with the natural scenery. This suspension bridge, made by weaving together vines (shirakuchikazura), is a valuable cultural heritage that has been used for daily life since ancient times. On both sides of the bridge, deep valleys spread out, and a clear river flows below.

As I prepared to cross the bridge, I could see the river below through the gaps at my feet, which made me freeze in my tracks. The bridge swayed and creaked with each step, so I proceeded cautiously, one step at a time. It was a thrilling experience, but when I looked up midway, I was struck by the beautiful mountains and valleys surrounding me, feeling as if I was melting into nature.

When I finally made it across, I was filled with a sense of accomplishment and relief. Looking back, I couldn't help but appreciate the bridge's architectural beauty and historical significance. Nearby, there are tourist facilities and shops where you can enjoy local specialties, adding to the charm.
