Monument Valley is one of the most iconic landscapes in the U.S. — those towering red sandstone buttes rising dramatically from the desert floor are unforgettable. Driving the 17-mile scenic loop felt like entering a movie set, and I couldn’t help but recall countless Western films shot here. Sunrise was my favorite time, when the buttes glowed deep orange against a soft purple sky. I joined a Navajo-led tour that shared fascinating cultural history and secret viewpoints I never would’ve found alone. Monument Valley is more than just a backdrop; it’s a living, spiritual place, and it left me in awe. A defining stop in my #mytraveldiary.
