📍Address: Churaumi Aquarium
(Tickets are required. It's better to purchase them in advance to save time and avoid long queues.)
🚗Transportation:
In my opinion, there isn't much to do around the aquarium, so I recommend driving for convenience.
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities:
The aquarium is divided into three main sections: the main building (🐳), the dolphin area (🐬), and the turtle area (🐢).
The most popular section is the whale shark exhibit (🐳). Upon entering, you can head straight to the restaurant and reserve a seat next to the tank (reservation requires an additional fee). After reserving, you'll have about an hour to explore the aquarium. The whale sharks are truly impressive, and the other fish seem well cared for, with the water appearing clean.
The dolphin area (🐬) is outdoors and features performances three times a day. If you want to catch a show, plan your schedule accordingly. Personally, I didn't watch the performance but did visit the area and was lucky enough to see dolphins being trained, which felt like a mini-show!
The turtle area (🐢) is also outdoors, but part of it is located in the basement, offering a chance to cool off. The turtles are quite large, though the water quality here doesn't seem as clean as in other sections.
