Putuo Mountain Prayer Guide (for lazy people)|||Transportation
Take a bullet train to Ningbo Station. Follow the signs to the bus station, which is next to the bullet train station. Buy a ticket to Zhujiajian for CNY 72. The bus ride takes about 2 hours.
Travel route
Day 1
Take a ferry from Zhujiajian Wharf to Putuo Mountain (about 10 minutes). Pray at Puji Temple first, then check in at the nearby cultural and creative stores, Xide Coffee, and Post Coffee.
Stroll along Longsha Road. The air is fresh and the vegetation is lush, making it a great place to wander. Walk through a pedestrian tunnel to Longsha District. Stay overnight in Longsha District 1. It is convenient to go to Fayu Temple the next day. There is a bus stop for the cable car near Longsha District 1. I stayed at Shiyuan Homestay, which is an economical option. The room is clean and cost-effective. There are many stray cats near Longsha District. You can bring some sausages to feed them.
Day 2
Take a minibus from Longsha District 1 to the cable car to Fayu Temple. Pray at the small temples along the way. Take a bus to Nanhai Guanyin. On the way back, visit Bukenqu Guanyin Temple, then go directly to the wharf to take a ferry back. It is recommended to buy a ticket to Ningbo Station at the wharf. You can find the ticket office on the right after entering the wharf.
The whole trip is easy and relaxing, with no backtracking!
Food: Zaozi Tree Vegetarian Restaurant is worth a try. The vegetarian food is really good, especially the fried lotus root slices.
👉🏻Special reminder: Don't buy incense at Puji Temple Station. It is twice as expensive as in the supermarket. It is recommended to prepare in advance and bring your own.
