🚩 Wat Phumanorom or Wat Roi Phra Phutthabat Phumanorom is an old and beautiful temple located on a mountain that is not very high, but it allows you to see the view of Mukdahan Province, the Mekong River, and all the way to Savannakhet Province, Laos. 🇱🇦
🚩 The highlight of Wat Phumanorom is the white Buddha statue called "Phra Chao Yai Kaew Mukda Sri Trairat", which is a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude. It is 39.99 meters wide, 59.99 meters high, and 84 meters high from the base to the top of the head. It was built in 2011 to honor His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on the auspicious occasion of his 7th cycle birthday anniversary on December 5, 2011. It is enshrined on the top of the mountain. Tourists can walk up to the top to see a 360-degree view.
🚩 Another landmark is "Phra Sri Mukda Mahamuni Nilpal Naga" or "Pu Sri Mukda", a Naga statue located on the stone courtyard of Wat Phum Norom, which both locals and tourists who respect often come to worship and ask for blessings for good fortune. Because they believe that it is sacred And also admire the beautiful architecture, which is very grand. The body is made of blue-green scales and will sparkle when exposed to sunlight. It is about 20 meters high and has a coiled body that is 122 meters long, facing the Mekong River. 🙏
🚩 In addition, Wat Phum Norom also has other ancient sites and antiques in the temple, such as Phra That Phum Norom, a replica of the Buddha's footprint. I must say that this beauty is another place that should be visited when coming to Mukdahan Province.
