Check in at Portland's 3 stunning waterfalls in one day! Easier than you think 🚗
As a waterfall enthusiast, this lesser-known waterfall route around Portland amazed me! Close distance, fewer crowds, and incredibly photogenic. Highly recommended for nature lovers~
🌟Trip Highlights:
- Super convenient self-driving, all spots are within 10 minutes by car
- All waterfalls are free to enter, and parking fees are very cheap (some are free)
- Easy hiking, suitable for families, couples, and photography fans
📍First stop: Multnomah Falls (a must-visit‼️)
👉 Address: I-84, Bridal Veil, OR 97010
The most popular double-tier waterfall in Oregon, with a spectacular 189-meter drop! The parking lot is right by the highway, and it’s just a 2-minute walk to the viewing platform. Morning visits are best for lighting; weekends are a bit busier but worth it!
📍Second stop: Latourell Falls (8 minutes by car)
👉 Address: Historic Columbia River Hwy, Corbett, OR 97019
The waterfall cascades directly over a basalt cliff, with moss-covered rocks creating a magical vibe! The hiking loop here is about 2 miles, but we only walked down to the base of the waterfall and turned back (15 minutes is enough).
📍Third stop: Wahkeena Falls (5 minutes by car)
👉 Address: Wahkeena Trail, Corbett, OR 97019
A slender waterfall like a bride’s veil, with soothing streams and small bridges along the way~ You can grab a coffee at Multnomah Falls and visit both (the trails of the two waterfalls are actually connected).
💡Useful Tips:
1. Wear non-slip shoes, as some stone paths are mossy
2. Pets are allowed at all three waterfalls (remember to keep them on a leash)
3. There are many scenic viewpoints along Columbia River Highway, so you can stop anytime if you have extra time
