[Munich] [Salzburg] A four-day solo trip over the New Year holidays

I went on a trip to Germany over the New Year holidays, so I'd like to introduce my plan for this trip.

Day 1: 7:00 AM Arrived at Munich Airport ✈️
I heard that the Christmas market at the airport opens from 11:00, so I decided to kill time until then.
There were sales at the supermarket and pharmacy at the airport, so I bought some souvenirs there!

11:00-12:00 Christmas Market
It was small, so I was able to finish looking around in an hour😊

From 1:00 PM, I took a train towards the city and visited the Munich Residenz, Alte Pinakothek, and Marienplatz.
(It took quite a while to see the Residenz, and the Pinakothek closed just in time💦)

From 6:00 PM, took a break at Cafe Luitpold → returned to the hotel

Day 2: 7:00 AM-6:00 PM
I took an optional tour with a Japanese guide to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, Linderhof Castle, and Wieskirche! This time I was traveling alone, but there were a few other people with me, so we became friends and went around together💕

It's difficult to get to these three places on your own because of the poor transportation, so I recommend using a tour!! !

[Day 3]

7:00-9:00 Travel by train to Salzburg

9:00-Arrive in Salzburg

Walk through Mirabell Gardens and from Salzburg Central Station towards Mozart's house.

Breakfast at Cafe Bazaar.

10:00 Shopping in the old town🛍️

(All the shops were closed around 6:00pm, so I'm glad I bought some at this time!)

11:00-13:00 Visit Mozart's house and birthplace.

13:00-Lunch at Cafe Tomaselli.

(The oldest cafe in Salzburg, founded in the 1700s and frequented by Mozart)

14:00 Shopping at the Christmas market 🛍️
The Christmas market was open here until January 🎄
There were lots of miscellaneous goods and accessories for sale, so it was worth seeing!

15:00~ Visited Hohensalzburg Fortress.

17:00~ Visited Salzburg Cathedral.
The worship service had just started, so I listened to it for a bit.

18:00~ Stopped by the Christmas market one last time, bought some mulled wine and bread to eat ✨

Go straight to Munich.

[Day 4]
My flight was at 12 o'clock, so I went straight to the airport in the morning and bought the souvenirs I had left over while I was waiting!

It was pretty packed, but I was able to see all the main places, and it was a fulfilling trip, so I'm very satisfied ✨
In fact, since I was alone, there were many places where I felt lonely, and I started to miss Japan around this time, so it might be just right! lol
