Akakura Onsen Ski Area

#japantrip Follow the bear and you'll be there. Akakura Onsen ski was the perfect place to start our trip. Great place to get the feel of having a board back beneath our feet. Great for beginners an some intermediate runs before moving to one of the steeper resorts.
Loved this resort and the surrounding area. Lovely little town that has everything you need for a great mountain getaway. Snowboarded here and had a great time on great snow with nice long runs. Not crowded either, especially compared with the U.S. so that was a breath of fresh air! Hopefully we will return one day!
