Kansai Airport — Wakayama — Shirahama — Kii Katsuura (Kumano Ancient Road)
The above routes are compact and can be played in 2-3 days
But we chose to leave 2 days in each place to feel slowly.

Day1-2

Direct bus 🚌 from Kansai Airport - Wakayama Jr Station
About 40min get off and cross across is the Jr line We stayed in a hotel next to Mio, very convenient to get around.

▪️Wakayama Castle Wakayama Castle is beautiful during the cherry blossom season
There are food courts. In addition to cherry blossom viewing and camping, you must try Wakayama specialty snacks.

▪️Kimatsuji Temple The cherry blossoms all over the mountains and plains are too romantic
The mountain road is not steep and very short. You don't need to take the cable car. Walk a few steps to go up. Sakura Road Torii⛩️ is a holy place.

▪️ Take the 🐱Little Jade Train (Easy Travel Time 3h)
Staying next to Jr station out of the hotel is the station again sigh of convenience! Be sure to check the schedule in advance to see the time you want to take. We arrived at the station at 9 o'clock. There are only 2 trains in the morning. The "Strawberry" on the outbound trip caught up with the "museum train".

Wakayama Jr Station - Shirahama
The hotel is located in Bai Liang Bin. The beach is right outside the door🌊

We went to Kii Katsuura to walk the Kumano ancient road. There was a heavy rain on the day we went ⛈️ so we changed our plan

The route is to take bus No. 31 (it's cheaper to buy a day ticket for a round trip).
Nachisan Terminal ➡️ Nachi Taisha Shrine ➡️ Aogan Toji Temple ➡️ Triple Pagoda ➡️ Great Falls ➡️ Nachi No Flood Station ➡️ Kii Katsuura Station
It took 3 hours to get to Nachi - Triple Tower - Great Falls All the better roads to walk this line is suitable for people who usually less exercise.

I bought the Kansai 5-Day Pass (RMB540).
