Nagano Lantern Festival: A Large Lantern the Size of a Single Tatami Mat

The Lantern Festival held at Zenkoji Temple in Nagano City starts at Nagano Station and continues on to the approach to the temple, Zenkoji Temple, and the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum, where various lanterns, illuminations, and events are held.
When you get off at Nagano Station to go see the Lantern Festival, the first thing you will see is several "large lanterns" the size of a single tatami mat on display at the station.
The works seem to have been made mostly by local students.

As lanterns are meant to hold wishes, I thought there were many related to "war" and "peace."
If I were to make one now, I would like to make one with the theme of "strong yen, weak dollar" lol

There seems to have been some kind of Pikmin event as well.
