Nagasaki, Japan|Peace Memorial Park

I have visited both cities where the atomic bomb was dropped. The center of the Nagasaki atomic bomb drop is now the "Peace Park" which symbolizes the wish for world peace. Here you can find a 9.7-meter-tall Peace Prayer Statue, a Peace Fountain, and peace memorials donated by countries around the world. The statue was created by Nagasaki-born sculptor Kitamura Seimo to symbolize God's love and Buddha's compassion. The right hand is pointing to the sky to represent the threat of the atomic bomb, the left hand is stretched horizontally to represent peace, and the gently closed eyes are praying for the victims of the atomic bomb. There is also an Atomic Bomb Museum in the park, which uses storytelling exhibitions to narrate the tragic situation at that time and remind people of the value of peace.
