Must visit when traveling to Nagoya

This is the bathhouse (Yudono) reserved for the Shogun. You can see it by joining a guided tour. As you would expect from a bathhouse reserved for the Shogun, the room is luxurious. The bath does not have a bathtub, but instead uses a sauna-style steam bath where water is boiled in an outside kettle and the steam is drawn inside. You can tour the area while listening to explanations, so if you're going to Nagoya Castle, I highly recommend joining one.
