This ancient shrine was founded in 701 and was moved to its current location as the main guardian deity of Nagoya when Tokugawa Ieyasu constructed Nagoya Castle. The shrine is worshipped as the god of war and external protection. There are zodiac ornaments made with a chainsaw on display within the grounds.
On the 1st of each month, you can receive a limited edition goshuin stamp for the Sakuichi Market pilgrimage.
