For the last stop, we returned to Nagoya again, this time to visit Nagoya’s most representative historical building – Nagoya Castle.
After entering, we headed all the way towards Tenshukaku and saw many interesting shows along the way, such as ninja and samurai shows. The staff dressed in ninja costumes performed a small drama and invited children or foreign tourists to interact with each other. The atmosphere was very happy and lively
🚶♂️ Although Nagoya Castle itself is now closed to the public due to restoration works, we turned to visit the Honmaru Palace next to it. The Honmaru Palace was the residence and office of the feudal lord (i.e., the local daimyo) at that time, so the decoration inside is extremely ornate. After queuing a little, you can finally visit ~👉 Need to take off your shoes to enter, step into the palace will be instantly attracted by the splendor in front of you, the walls and screens are painted with gold and colorful beautiful paintings, each like a work of art.
It turns out that the reason why the Honmaru Palace is so gorgeous is to showcase the power and status of the feudal lord. When visiting, please note that the use of flash lights is forbidden to take pictures inside the museum
📍1−1 Honmaru, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
