Strolling around and paying respects at Atsuta Shrine 🎑

📍Atsuta Shrine (熱田神宮)
🗓 September 21, 2025

This sacred shrine, second only to the Grand Shrine of Ise, is over 2,000 years old and enshrined in the shrine grounds. The shrine houses the sacred Kusanagi Sword, one of Japan's three imperial regalia, comparable to the legendary Excalibur.

🍜Food Court within the shrine grounds: Enjoy a wide selection of both savory and sweet dishes, including udon (set menus) and matcha ice cream (strawberry and fresh milk), available in cones and cups. Free drinking water and several vending machines offer tea, coffee, and soft drinks.

⌚️Opening Hours: 24 hours (only the indoor area closes at 4:00 PM due to the forest area).
