In the southern valley of Okinawa, thousands-year-old trees are intertwined and their roots are intertwined, like the memory of the earth deeply embedded in the cracks of the rocks. Roots, passing through strata and generations, absorb sea breeze and moisture, and also witness the footsteps and breathing of human beings. The ocean evokes the legends of our ancestors’ voyages in the distance, while the land silently embraces the travels and rests of all living things. Plants are silent, but their postures reveal the wisdom of tenacity and growth. People are just passers-by, but they always try to find the connection with nature.
Here, there are no boundaries of time, only the rhythm of life. When we look up at the branches and leaves entwined around the sky, we seem to be called together, returning to the source of symbiosis, tranquility and power where all things coexist.
