[Farm Tomita]

Visiting Farm Tomita was like stepping into a postcard. I had always seen pictures of endless lavender fields online, but being there in person was something else entirely. The scent of lavender filled the air the moment we stepped out of the car, and it honestly felt surreal.
We strolled through rows of vibrant purple, pink, and white flowers, each field more beautiful than the last. It wasn’t just lavender—they had a whole rainbow of blooms spread across the gently sloping hills. The panoramic views were breathtaking, especially with the Tokachi mountains in the backdrop.
One of the highlights for me was the lavender soft serve. It was smooth, fragrant, and just the right amount of floral—definitely a must-try. We also visited the drying houses and gift shops where you could learn about how they process lavender into oils and perfumes. I ended up buying some sachets as souvenirs.
The farm is really well maintained and has a relaxed, unhurried vibe. It was such a peaceful and sensory-rich experience. I left feeling calm, refreshed, and with my phone full of purple-drenched photos.
