🚙 Take a trip to Wat Phra In Plaeng, Nakhon Phanom
🛕 Located on Sunthon Wichian Road (along the Mekong River), it was originally called Wat Umong. The sacred principal Buddha image in the ordination hall is called "Luang Pho Phra In Plaeng". It is a bronze Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude. According to legend, the principal Buddha image enshrined in the ordination hall was not completely completed, especially the head of the Buddha. The craftsmen who cast the head of the Buddha could not succeed, so they gave up on casting the head and built a tunnel to cover the Buddha image. This is the origin of the name of Wat Umong. 🪷 Later, the abbot of the temple, Phra No Lak Kham, had a dream that Phra Intharathirat and other deities transformed to help cast the head of the Buddha until it was completed. The Buddha image's head therefore has exquisite and beautiful facial features, which is the origin of the temple's current name. It is believed that those who come to pay homage will be successful, and lost things will be returned. They will be free from illnesses and especially in their careers. Examination 🙏🙏🙏
