Junglia Okinawa 🦕 @ Nago City
I visited Junglia Okinawa, the much talked-about theme park that opened in July 2025. Here's my first impression of the park, two months after its opening.
🚗 Access & Arrival
I took a flight from Haneda to Naha at 6:40 AM.
After arriving at 9:20 AM, I rented a car and headed north toward Nago. After about an hour and a half of driving, I finally arrived at 11:20 AM.
The giant "JUNGLIA" balloon that came into view along the way really got me excited.
🎢 Attractions & Crowds
Although I was prepared, all the numbered tickets for the main attractions had already been distributed. I tried to reserve the "Horizon Balloon," the only attraction available via TableCheck, but there was a waiting list of 151 people, so I gave up.
I used my financial resources to buy premium passes for the three attractions and waited for my reservation time.
🍔 Lunch Experience
Immediately after entering the park, I tried to go to the Bird's Nest Restaurant (Panorama Dining), but the long line gave up. Instead, I went to the food court-style "Wild Banquet." The food, including the "THE WILD Beef Burger" made with Ishigaki beef, was of very high quality.
🦖 Dinosaur Safari Bungee Gliding
At 12:30, I headed to the "Dinosaur Safari," which is included with the Premium Pass. It was a tour-style experience, where you ride in the back of a jeep and get up close and personal with the delicate movements of the dinosaurs.
While the staff's realistic acting added a sense of realism, the dinosaur performances seemed a bit subdued. The "Bungee Gliding" ride scheduled for 2:30 PM was cancelled. 🥺
I was told that a refund would be automatically processed to my credit card.
Rather than worrying about getting a refund, I was thinking about what to do with the time until my 4:30 PM Buggy Voltage reservation. 🥺
Since there were no attractions I could ride, I headed to Spa Janglia, which I had planned to visit after the park closed.
🛀 Spa Janglia
This was great! The spa I visited between attractions was amazing. It was just a few minutes' shuttle bus ride from Janglia.
The view of Nago Bay from the open-air infinity bath was breathtaking. The sauna was a little small, but the overall experience was very satisfying.
🚂 Tram
At 3:30 PM, I still had time, so I enjoyed a tram ride around the park and some shopping at Bizarre Market.
🚙 Buggy Voltage & Other Experiences
At 4:30 PM, I headed to Buggy Voltage, which I had reserved with my Premium Pass. I chose the "Adrenaline Challenge Course," which requires a driver's license, and drove the buggy myself. It was so exhilarating that I completed two laps in no time!
I wanted to go around again.
🌅 Summary
As everyone has said, the spa and food are top-notch, but there aren't many attractions.
It's a shame that whether or not you enjoy the experience depends on whether or not you can get a numbered ticket for the attractions early in the morning.
However, I've never had the chance to visit Nago City in Okinawa, so this was a great opportunity to take a trip there.
I look forward to seeing Junglia continue to evolve.
