The moment I first stood at the Junghwamun Gate, I was overwhelmed by the time engraved in each brick.
It is rare to find an ancient city wall so perfectly preserved in the middle of a city.
The texture of the wall was rough but solid, and the moment I passed through the gate, moments of war and peace flashed through my mind.

The sight of the sunlight hitting the wall in the late afternoon turning it red was especially impressive. As I walked, I saw citizens walking on the wall, joggers, and tourists taking pictures, naturally blending in, making me feel that this place is both a historic site and a part of life.
